Not only was the food nowhere in the realm of authentic, but simply put it was not good.Caribbean cuisine is a melting pot of cultural influences developed over centuries from blending different cultures, culinary traditions, and local ingredients. I just kept thinking to myself, at least the food smells good and could not wait to get home to dig in! I’ll keep part this short and sweet. The other thing I noticed was that he never gave me my drink! I was probably more annoyed than I should have been but I’ll admit that bothered me. As I’m driving home I noticed two things. No more than a minute later he said my order was ready. I proceeded to step to the side and grab some of their mango habanero sauce and napkins while I waited. I told him I was there to pick up my meal and he said it should be ready in a few minutes. I arrived 5min earlier than I had originally said and the gentleman behind the counter who I presumed I spoke to earlier asked if he could help. I explained that I was coming all the way from Sanford and I’d be there in about 45min. I also ordered the curry chicken rice bowl for my girlfriend along with a beverage. Ok, that’s it.no really! I placed my take-out order: Jerk chicken, yuca fries, rice n peas, and guava cheesecake. When I called in my order, the gentleman I spoke to was nice. With that said let’s start off with the biggest positive. But all I can do is be real, truthful, and honest as I always am when it comes to my reviews. I almost feel bad writing this review because there were so many things wrong and I really dislike coming off like a hater.
